Spencer Butte this morning. Took a taxi to the bottom then started up. Initially we went the wrong way but we found the correct trailhead. I got behind all three of them by a bit. I just suck at hills and my legs were feeling pretty trashed from the longest run of my life on Saturday and my highest mileage week. I eventually got to this parking lot and took a left onto this other trailhead and it ended up being the wrong one. It was pretty flat though so I was running pretty quick on it. I eventually got to this other road I turned around knowing I took the wrong way so I turned around and I ran on the other trail that looped me back to the parking lot and I found the right trail that went up to the top of the butte. It was a lot of really steep climbing but it was a lot of fun. The view from the top was absolutely beautiful. Talked for a couple of minutes. Went back down and it was a lot easier haha, some parts you just couldn't run down fast with the turns and how steep it was. Got back down to the park and the other guys had waited for me so then we ran back on Rexus and did 3x2 min ons fartlek. It was good to open up but the last one I dropped back of Dan and Sven. This was probably the coolest run of all time it was so beautiful running on the trails.
