2nd leg 4x800 at Red Ribbon. We ran our top lineup today: Justin, Me, Charles and Mike. Justin ran great with a 2:02 and handed off in 3rd behind Homewood Flossmoor and WWS. I then tried to make up for it and went out stupid fast in 25.xx (25 high) and then 55.xx I think. Went through 600 in 1:27 but I was dead by then. Should have ran smarter. It was pretty windy today so that was a factor for the time but I should have ran smarter. Passed McKenna going into 400 but he passed me back with a little over 200 to go and then I passed the HF guy who was fading pretty badly. McKenna put some distance on me in the last 200 and I handed off to Charles in second. Him and Mike ran great to get us the win. 8:05 team time with the wind today is very good. After the race Milner said I am a 1:58 guy and just need to race smarter. Hopefully we get some good competition next week at Carlin Nally and some good conditions because I want to hit the state time next week.
