Don Church Twilight. Good race, first time under 4 since May 2016 and a good step in the right direction. Really solid weather, was in the mid 50s and there was absolutely no wind for our race. Was all the way on the outside for the start of the race so that was nice to not have to fight anybody to my outside. Had a great part 1 and was able to settle into 3rd right behind Dhru and Zachdiz. Was 62-63 for the 400. With 800 to go, Dhru motioned that we needed to go and made a move. I think he created a slight gap that Zachdiz was able to call. I think someone got back around me at that point going through 800 in 2:07 or so, so we slowed slightly. I got back into 3rd around the Chicago kid with 500 to go and was able to pretty much get right back on Zachdiz and Dhru for a little before they gapped me on the backstretch. Really solid part 3 today. I didn't have the best part 4, my last 150 I tied up pretty hard and got kicked down by a few guys but still a really good step like I said earlier and there is a lot more to come in the next couple of weeks. As much as it sucks not getting into Drake, it will be a great week to train to get ready for the really important following weeks.
