Notes

Started the race immediately in 2nd place and never once lost it. Another guy went out at the same pace as me, he ended up third. We talked for the first 7 miles or so, then he decided to pull back a little bit. It would've been easy to slow down if it weren't for him, even though afterwards I felt like I could've ran this quicker. That wasn't the point of this race though. I wanted to go into it fatigued, just to see what I had in me. Next week I plan on keeping my mileage in the 100s as well, and by the time Chicago comes, I think I'll be ready for a good taper and an excellent race. So Overall, I think I ran this race smart, I'm barely sore, but I feel great.

Oh yeah, around 12.5 miles I threw up 3 times mid-stride. I need to figure out why I start feeling sick around 10 miles. I blame it on humidity, it was around 92% at race time.

Playing around in my head about how fast to go out at Chicago through the half mark, and after this race, it seems like 1:18 should be very very simple. I may even be fine at 1:17:00. I didn't feel too tired throughout the race, and I didn't take a gel at the 7 mile mark like I planned. oh well.
