Notes
popped 3 ibuprofen before race, peed on the starting line, etc.
Was concerned mostly for my back this race, but at the same time, I felt like i needed to just go out and see what I can do and hold it for however long i could. I've noticed that when my hamstring and glute start locking up, the next thing that goes is my back, so for the first 19 miles i was kicking my leg back to keep my hamstrings fresh... unfortunately the hamstring issue started around mile 2. From mile 19-26, i probably stopped 10-15 times, mostly because of my hamstring, but I toughed it out and kept going. A lot of that was lack of training, since I haven't done much at all in the last 8 weeks, I hadn't been used to running THAT long. So many problems. Add on a head wind, with rain and freezing temps, it wasn't not a pleasant race. My only goal was to finish, but like I said, I needed to be tough first and give it all I had. Went through the half in 1:20:00.

Within the last 5 miles, i just started grabbing anything i could. I ate a milky way bar, an orange, 2 bananas, a clif shot, and one of those flavored frozen ice pop things, because why not? lol
