I wasn't sure what shape I was in, all I knew was that Greg planned on doing 5:40s. We talked beforehand and decided to go out conservative, but as you can tell from the splits, we didn't. I honestly didn't think I'd be able to hang out at a 5:40 pace, especially after Tuesday's workout. He killed the workout, while my legs were shot and sore until raceday. I've raced with Greg several times, and he's a good person to race with. For some reason, we push each other, almost like I don't want him to beat me, but he wants to beat me, so it's a good combo.
There were a couple long hills in this race, and I used my arms to get up those... that's important. I hung next to Greg the whole time, and didn't take off until around 4mi. Last half mile was around a 5 flat pace. Not a bad race, but I overexerted as usual and bled some, so of course I felt like crap the rest of the day.
Won another Pint glass. I may not be able to host a dinner party, but I can host a drink party.
