Hawthorne 12 Hour Relay. I didn't participate in the relay this year, but Alicia and I went to watch. In the first hour, I ran about a mile of the course and took pictures of the runners. Around 9am, we left the race because we needed a cooler. After going to the store, I told her to drop me off at Sluder's house and I'll just run back to Hawthorne to get it out of the way. He lives about 3 miles from Hawthorne. I ran the 3 at about a 6 min pace, felt pretty good.
About an hour later, Alicia decided she needed to run, so I joined her and ran another 6 miles, about an 8:40 pace.
After lunch, we walked the course and spectated. Jesse Davis was going solo and I asked him if he needed a pacer, so I jumped in the next loop and ran a couple miles with him. So by that point I ran about 12 miles.
Towards the last few hours of the race, I jumped back in to help him out, he asked me if I would. Out of the 3 laps, I logged about 50 mins of running, which I guessed would be around 6 miles.
Overall, I ran 18 miles that day, and probably covered about 26 miles total. Not bad for just spectating. Hip/hamstring didn't feel too bad either.
