Notes
Monumental Half Marathon. Not really a race, just did whatever i could do to not hurt or push it beyond what i could handle.
Woke up, sat up in bed and hernia spot actually wasn't bothering me. I made sure I stretched really good before i biked down to the race. Lathered up my leg with aspercreme numbing cream and took 3 ibuprofen. Wore full tights and my jacket, because i figured this would slow me down a little. If i dressed lighter, i thought maybe I'd try to race it, and that wasn't the point.
Started feeling the hernia around mile 3. I was beginning to get warm around this time, hands heated up and became sweaty and actually thought about tossing them and my jacket at mile 6 next to my apt. By mile 10 my left leg was pretty numb all the way down to my foot. Once I turned onto meridian going south, there was a brutal headwind that made me feel like i was crawling, and i'm glad i didn't toss my clothing, because it was pretty cold.
Overall i'm not feeling too bad, my left knee kinda hurts and I'm not sore really at all. Just glad i didn't overdo it. Still shat blood though, chalk that up to no training and not used to running that long.
