I was wet from the 3 mile warm up because it was so humid. So before the race, I drenched my head and bandana with my water bottle, just like I always do every day before I run. Not used to morning runs and humidity.
I told coach that this would be my first workout back since the mini in May, I wanted to have a good base of mileage before I jump into any workout, so the plan was to ease into it. First mile was 5:52, so I kept it pretty even. This was also moved from Broad Ripple to Eagle Creek, so there were some hill climbs this time around. I was seeded with bib #4, and placed 5th. Age grade was 29:14. Also, immediately crossing the line, i walked straight up to the trash can and threw up, so NOW i'm thinking humidity has a lot to do with why I barf.
overall, not a bad first workout
