Notes
Perfect conditions, not much wind. oatmeal for breakfast, rode bike to start. took 2 ibuprofen and 1 gu before the race. My job was to pace the 1:15 group through the 10k, then do whatever. I was pretty close, some of those mile markers were off, but there were only 2 girls in my group and one other guy, so it wasn't very full. I didn't take any water during the race nor did I take any gel. Threw up on the last stretch 3 times like usual, i think that is from lack of mileage. Overall, not bad considering I averaged only 35 miles a week the 5 weeks leading up to this race. During the race I reminded myself, "just get through it without re-injuring yourself" so I wasn't too concerned really about how fast I was going, just to finish strong. Felt good after, legs aren't sore at all, and only have one black toe nail.
