Last workout this week - hit 4mi Tempo straight up, again targetting 6:40/mi pace. The gist of all these Tempos in Phase III for me has been to see them begin to feel easier but I'm just finding it harder to hold the pace (i.e. I am having to hold back in a slightly uncomfortable way). Still a sign of improving fitness so whatever. It is weird that the first 1.5 mi of this route is always so subjectively more challenging, must be the elevation changing.
