Decided this week to do some fartlek for the workout as I didn't want to do anything too rough, settled on 1/4mi on / 1/4mi off for 11 on segments. This was a really relaxing workout as I sort of used the opportunity to "work into" the effort. My legs and feet were feeling sort of beat up so I opened up at like slightly faster than HM pace, and worked down toward Mile pace, feeling very strong by the end, nice progressive loading. Not sure physiologically how good this is but for what I was looking for this week (a light workout to stimulate the legs but still be fresh enough for big races this weekend) it hit the spot.
