Notes

BAA down the hatch run.

Went out with compression shorts, shorts, and zip long sleeve. Really cold and windy at the start, more so than when I left the apartment. Started easily, and then picked it up to about a 7:00/mile by mile 3. Saw Ryan Hall getting ready around mile 6. Caught up to us just before mile 10. Snow starting to stick. At mile 10, picked it up to about 6:15 pace; ran with Ryan for about 3 miles, than had to make a #2 pit-stop. Felt really sluggish when I restarted. Continued tempo to mile 14.8. Caught up with rest of the crew and began the last portion of the run. Really started to feel it in the legs at the firestation and wheels came off around Heartbreak. Battled in to the finish.

Toughest long run in a long time. Probably didn't wear enough and the cold really started to hamper my running around mile 16. Also, haven't done anything longer than 16 in a while, so it was to be expected. Snow and tough traction didn't help. Probably also ran out of gas. Also ran way too fast at the beginning. A lot of factors could explain the lousy run, but still finished with a decent pace, so not a total loss. Plus, got to run with Ryan for a bit, which salvaged the whole experience.

HR monitor totally off, so I have no idea what the avg HR might be.
