BAA Down the Hatch run. Started off easy on the downhill out of Hopkinton with JB, Paul, and Pino. Settled into regular pace at the 1st aid station (5K). After 2nd aid station JB picked it up and I went with him. Lost Paul at this point to a pit stop. This portion felt fast.. probably sub-7:00. Settled back to a more comfortable speed after 3rd stop (15K) and just tried to enjoy the scenery. Pino went ahead, but Paul tempo'd to catch up. Took a longer break than I wanted at Marathon Sports. Again, started to feel it in my legs from about 12-14. Once we hit Lower Falls, started to feel better and after brief stop at the Fire Station, started to tackle the hills. Felt surprisingly fresh on the hills. Ran into Chris on the way down and passed him a gel, then tempo'd to catch up with JB. By the time we crested HB hill, I was feeling great, but I held back to stay in contact with JB. We had lost Paul and Pino by now. Cruised on through Cleveland Circle and home. Really good long run compared to last 20 miler.
