Newry, ME - skiing
4 mile w/u, 3 mile tempo, 5:00 min. jog, 5 x hill, 4 mile c/d
Legs feeling a little better, but now hamstrings sore. Not looking forward to this run, but going to try to hammer through it. Got up early and tried to replicate the BAA tempo & hill workout. Ridiculously cold at the beginning, but gradually warmed up during tempo portion, but started to get tired by the end of portion as i hit a steep uphill. Brief 5 min. jog, then started hill repeats. Started too fast on the first one. The remaining were still tough... just couldn't finish them strong. Easy c/d back to the lodge. Really rough run, but managed to finish reasonably strong.
checked the map: this hill much steeper than heartbreak. About same distance but almost 200ft gain versus ~ 80-90ft for heartbreak
