Notes

I started off with the intention of running jebung twice...even putting out gatorade at the tree but the fiirst mile was a little faster than I expected and without much effort the next mile was faster and by the third mile I knew 20 was out the door so I put my head down and started banging out some hard fast miles to see what kind of shape I'm in and how fast will my legs go and for how long. The hills on the way back were a bitch. You don't realize on the way out how much it goes downhill and for how long till you're sucking wind and struggling to stay on pace. To keep myself from getting discouraged I imagined myself pulling away from Doug and I immediately felt better. I think it's fair to say I'm probably not in sub 3 hour shape yet but there's hope.

Nice! Though I still contend it's harder going out there than coming back.

I hate it on the way back there too but maybe it's because the first miles of a run are always easier. That's some fast stuff there, Jim. I knew you were flyin when I drove past you on your way back. Hopefully the wind had died down by then and you weren't freezin your nuts off like I was this morning.

Yowsah! You were flying... And I a.so think coming back is much tougher!
