Newark turkey trot
Very pleased with this performance. Thought 30:45 might be possible on a really good day. Didn't look at my watch a single time and just raced. Went out in probably 25th place at a half mile and just picked people off the whole time. The first woman was ahead of me for the first few miles, but I caught her around 2.5, and spent the next mile and a half catching the two guys ahead of her. The guy who ended up fourth was right with me going up the final hill (which sucks!), then I went balls to the wall in the last mile and put 24 seconds on him. Forgot that the insoles in my flats slip and spent the last few miles worried I was getting a blister.
