Humans for Education 7k time trial. Couldn't run with the team yesterday so got to log lonely laps on the track by myself today. Ran first two miles with my head (relaxed and smooth), next six laps with my heart (strong and controlled), and the last few with my guts (beast mode!)
Was pleasantly surprised that six minute pace felt fairly comfortable. Thanks, progression runs! Not surprisingly, I had no extra gear at the end when I tried to push, but that's what happens when I haven't done much of anything faster than 6:00 pace in a few months.
