The patches on my running pants rubbed off so I had to wear shorts and when I hit Reservoir Road I knew I wouldn't make it to the river either comfortably or without chaffing. I turned and went up Foxhall figuring I would always be close enough to get home quickly if the chaffing was too much. All was good, I bit of a walk run and some of the hills were tough, especially W street, until I realized that I had overshot Garfield Street or at least I wasn't sure so I continued on. Yup, over shot by a lot. Still fun but made a walk/run into an exploratorium. the chaffing wasn't too bad but the continual shorts adjustment was annoying.
