was a little bit of work going out...but super easy coming back...is going uphill that much too much for an easy run? Not sure if you can see elevation so I'll post on fb. OH...btw...the 2nd mile is on a soft shoulder on a main road, which is why it's so much slower on this trail.

Seriously...my knees start to ache if I go super slow...is it because I'm running lazy when I try to go slow?...should my easy pace be quickening?

Anywho! felt good

Yeah, that is a bit much for elevation change during an easy day. Even if you slow down the effort on the uphills, it is alot of pounding on your legs and joints going up and down. So, even though you probably did a good job with keeping your cardio effort in check, your legs didn't really get to recover today. Not a huge deal, but you have to be careful.

As for your knees aching when you go really slow, try to find the "sweet spot" for pace and comfort so everything feels smooth and easy. It is ok to go a little faster if it feels more comfortable. You just don't want to cross the line to where the effort feels like you are working.
