Running is my quality time for me. Weather doesn't change my need for some alone time to get right with myself so that I can be who I need to be for those around me. It's waking up at 5am for a morning run or staying up late to sneak in some miles at midnight, the conditions outside don't dictate my need to log some therapy miles. |
Why I started running:
Ran way back in HS & loved it. Went off to college & didn't run again for almost 25 years. I ran into an old friend a few years back. She talked me into running the Pikes Peak Ascent in 2010. In August 2015 I ran my 5th Pikes Peak Double (Ascent Sat & Marathon Sun). I can't thank her enough for getting me back to running. My race times may have changed over the years, but thankfully the love of running hasn't. |
