Terrain: Asphalt, Concrete, Grass, Trail
Notes: Ran with Gustavo to the Jelly Belly factory. Weather was cold but sunny, and we made good time, arriving at just about 5:30pm on the dot. Got a lot of jelly beans at the factory, and saw Crystal XC alum Madalyn Karcher, who was working there.
Gustavo said he didn't really feel any tiredness until about the last mile, and we didn't even stop enough times to fit in all our drills. He's the first 7th grader to make it to the factory since 2018 -- very impressive! This puts him on good footing to be able to reach Fairfield High in the near future, and then on to double-digit mileage!
