Notes

4x3mile, 1x2mile @ Tempo w/90sec recovery

Really good workout down at Shelby Bottoms Greenway. It seems like each time I go down there I end up going longer and faster than I intended (which is obviously a good thing).

One factor I didn't take into account was the half marathon being run on the greenway today, so I had to do a fair amount of zigging and zagging on some of the intervals.

Workout felt incredibly relaxed, and much easier than the last 6x2mile workout despite the pace being faster and the recovery being the same. Breathing was a non issue, though towards the end of the third 3 mile, my legs did feel a little tight, though 30 seconds of stretching was all I needed.

Great confidence booster. I had no idea I was in this good shape. I'm really looking forward to doing a half marathon this fall. Sub 1:07? I would be pretty happy with that for a debut.

Thanks, man. I've really been surprising myself over the last month or so.

It seems like things are going pretty well for you. Remind me what you are planning for your next race?

Jeff

Yeah things are going pretty well. I am not exactly sure what the near future will bring, since it is T minus a month or so to baby lift-off. Just trying to stay fit keep things rolling. Possibly a half on November 10--we will see what the next couple of weeks bring!

@another one: is that Hunter? I think you have a restricted profile...

no not hunter, john ramsay.

is hunter on RunningAhead ? whats his name on here ?

connorkamm

He's on here, but I don't know what his name is on here. All you people hiding your training logs so that the rest of us can't procrastinate by stalking your logs...

Man, that's moving. What half are you looking at? Seems like you're in sub 67 shape now. Try the half at Tom King or Louisville to get a fast time and travel money and then do the USA Half Marathon Championships in June.
