Great tempo workout this morning. The plan was to do 4-5x2mile @ 5:20 pace w/2min rest down at Shelby Bottoms, but during the warmup, I decided to cut the rest a little shorter, and after feeling really good on the 3rd interval, I decided to add an extra.
Felt really relaxed throughout the whole workout, definitely a lot easier than doing a sustained 10 mile tempo. At the end of each interval, my HR was around 170-180, but by the end of the 1:30 rest had fallen to 115 at the beginning and 130 at the end. Finished feeling like I could have done a couple more, especially if I had held at the 5:15 pace and not dropped it down to 5:08 like I did at the end.
