About me:
I started running XC in 7th grade, during high school track I slowly transitioned from distance to sprinting (and competed in every event in the process). "Focused" on the decathlon in college, along with 400m hurdles. Got involved in some competitive Hood to Coast and Reach the Beach teams after college, and have now transitioned back to long distance running. In June of 2010, I also become an RRCA certified running coach. Then, In January 2012 I got a Track & Field Technical Coaching certification from the USTFCCCA and am now an assistant coach for the Worcester Polytechnic Institute track & field team.
Why do I run:
I love challenges, and no matter how fast I become or how far I go, there's always the challenge of whether I can go farther or faster (or both).
Why I started running:
XC in 7th grade - it was the only sport where I had complete control over how well I did and I was always competing against myself in addition to others.
