In lead (mostly) for first mile. ~4:51
In woods (mile 2) dropped to 15th-ish.
Coming out of woods felt pace slowing. Got to leader's shoulder. Stuck with for about a minute... "too slow! see ya suckers!"
Ran away from pack, leading race by ~20 meters.
15:10 through 3 miles. Get back into woods while still in lead.
Crash into high-schoolers in woods. Grrr.
Get caught by Mark, BC kid, and U Mass pack. Stick with for 400m.
Slogging starts. Bleeeeeeeerg. Random surges as I remind self this is my penultimate xc race.
9th coming in to finish (200m left). Look over to side. See Ned. Crap. Start sprint as hard as possible. No use. The giraffe man overtakes me (along w/ umass man). Finish 11th.
