Found another great hill for winter. Upton must have some hot water lines under the pavement so it always seems to be pretty solid footing. Plus the hill is a great set up for 300m. Gradual uphill into a steep uphill, then goes back to gradual uphill again, basically in perfect thirds. Get to focus on rolling into the incline, then concentrate on power up the slope, and use the last stretch to focus on form while trying to keep the turnover steady. I really like this spot and plan on using it more in the summer as well.
