very foggy during the night, nice during the day...rained for about 30 minutes around 2pm, but cloudy the rest of the day...temps ranged from 43-high 60's.....i was surprised how much gravel, logging roads there were, especially the first half of the race.....lots of switchbacks, in and outs, back and forth stuff that looked similar throughout the day...definitely a touch mental challenge. overall pleased...i wanted under 17 hours and thought I wasn't going to be close to that during the day, but kept grinding. wore 1 pair of sneakers the whole time...was fearful i would have cramped while changing them. Ryan Henry ran a 15:34 and Samantha Carney ran a 16:51.....i may want to do it again. a fun weekend.
