2:06-1:59....negative split!......cloudy/drizzled the entire race....much better conditions then last year when it was warm...my left glute is much better than last year now too. i started of very conservative at roughly a 9:30 pace and held the pace for much of the race. met a man from Illinois and talked with him for a few miles. felt good after 20 miles so picked up the pace....the last 2-3 miles i averaged about an 8:30 min/mile. overall, pleased with the way i finished strong. the course is nice...the AS's were better than last year...had much more drink/gatorade and gels...unlike last year. this year there was an issue with directing runners. the chalk on roads washed off and many runners didn't know where to go....they need directional signs next year.....i'll probably run it again....Don Halke was also there and ran a 4:47.
