Pretty happy with the run overall since this was a fairly hilly loop, hitting as high as approx. 475 feet and as low as 260 (thank you runningahead.com!). Looking at the loop, there really was no flat parts or flat footing until about 46 minutes into the run. First mile was a steep downhill, second was gradual uphill, third was slight to gradual downhill, fourth was gradual uphill, fifth was gradual to steep uphill, sixth was steep downhill, seventh was the flattest with a slight downhill followed by a steep uphill and eighth was a steep uphill. That being said I came up with a new notion today that really bugs me. I originally measure my loops on favoriterun.com, which I only do because I've been using it so long. The problem is that then I run the loop and measure it again using runningahead (usually the actual loop that I run, sometimes half-ass) and it differs. Take tonight for example. Favoriterun says 8.27 while runningahead reads 8.23. I'm going with the 8.23 since I pretty much ran it that way, step for step. So according to this my sampling error (and maybe each run) is 0.048368% (I think that is right).

Anyway, I had to take a break and run at work since I'll be here late tonight (I say that as I am playing the $5+.50 PLO Double Stack!). I bubbled the damn thing last night, taking 19th out of 163 (Top 18 paid). Oh well, I play to win, not to cash.

Love,

JME
