Notes

Drove down to Burnham Park to start my run. It was drizzling rain, and a little windy, but otherwise nice.

Many runners were dedicating 5.5 miles today to Ryan Shay (the American runner who died in the Olympic qualifier a few weeks ago), so there's mine.

I was planning to do between 17 and 20 depending on how i felt. Ran North from Brunham (mile marker 6). Decided somewhere along the way that i'd turn around when:

I saw Katie, or i felt tired, or i hit 10 miles.

Made it to the 16 mile marker, no Katie (i hoped she stayed home to rest), and felt pretty good still. The cool weather was nice, and my new shoes felt really good the whole time.

I didn't feel like my form was getting sloppy, so that was a good sign. Got a little chilly on those last two miles.

Also managed to pass mile 1200 for the year. Yay!
