A decent race at the Alsager 5 in what were pretty poor conditions with wind and rain. I set off fairly conservative with the 1st mile covered in 5.36, after that I was really consistent with my miles and was under 5.40 pace on them all this was a big inprovement on terms of consistency and pace management. I felt very controlled and relaxed the whole way which was encouraging. Overall I'm really happy with the race as I got no stitch and if the race hadn't been long would have been under 28. I feel in good conditions and the summer I can get close to 27 dead maybe sneak under the 27 mark. Most pleased with how I felt racing as it's the best I've felt on a race day. Hoping there's a lot more of this to now come.
