About me: I've always been pretty active with workouts like kettlebells, boxing/kickboxing, AWT, but I never thought I could run. One morning this past July I woke up and didn't feel like doing any of my normal workouts, so I put on a pair of running shoes and ran up to a track in my neighborhood. Now I run every weekday morning. |
Why do I run: To lose those stubborn 15 pounds, to counteract the indulgences of my food-centric job, to start the day with a rush, to listen to music in peace, to breath some fresh air at the calmest part of the day, to get some runner's legs, to accomplish something I didn't think I would ever accomplish. |
Why I started running: I've always worked out, but strongly preferred strength training to cardio. I decided to start running because I figured it was the most efficient form of cardio, and discovered that I actually enjoy it. |
