Notes
I tried to keep the pace feeling easy and let things develop from there. My feet and legs hurt a lot the first 30 minutes, I think my shoes are basically finished at this point. After 30 minutes I felt better and just kept things simple, I took every farm road I could on this side of the forest, ran down it, ran back, and moved onto the next one. I tried to not really put in any effort till after 1:40:00, then I pushed mentally a little. I don't think that actually changed the pace, but just kept things together as I got tired. At around 17 miles, my right butt went numb and then was kind of painful. I tried to keep my form all the same and it gradually got more normal.
It was a hard day and week hearing about how my family members are being furloughed and laid off. It is really depressing. It was nice to be outside for 2 plus hours and to try and decompress a bit.
