Well this was a complete cluster and the times and field placements from the results are all wrong.
Someone (JDRF walk at Oak Point) stole the Pacers turn around sign on our out-and-back course.
I was in 5th place when the leader came the opposite way yelling that the sign was gone, and #3 and #4 turned and started back toward me. So, I ran down at least as far as #3 and #4 and turned around to maintain distance. But, everyone behind me turned immediately.
Re-passed everyone and still finished 5th. Had a nice battle with the guy who finished behind me when he tried to pass and I held step for step with him for about a half mile. Then he slowed a tiny bit and I charged quickly building a big gap.
Online results show me in 4th place, so I'm assuming one of the guys (Josh ???) decided not to get a time.
Garmin 5 mile time was 31:33, and total distance was 5.12. 31:33 would have been a PR but still not that great of a time, so whatever. Felt bad for James and Ken more than anything.
