Notes

All times are estimated. I did not wear a watch.

Left condo at 1345ish with Dewi packed up with everything for the weekend - tent, food, supplies, clothes, etc.! It felt heavy to start with, but it really was a much easier ride out there than I had anticipated. I think that little breeze behind me helped. Or, maybe it was nerves. I was quite nervous about the trip. (Did I have everything I needed? What if I had a flat . . . etc. etc. I took a very short break at McBaine as I really wanted to make sure I could get set up at Cooper's. Got to Cooper's and met Eva and her family from Israel. Very, very nice. They invited me to camp near them and we enjoyed time visiting. The 70 year old grandfather is biking from Portand to the East Coast. He told me it was his b'day present - or punishment - he wasn't sure which. Enjoyed talking to the teenage sons too. Also met a kayaker from Kenya who was schooled in Ireland/Scotland and now lives in TX. Blue Moon party that night & the place was hopping! A good time. I got the tent etc. all set up just fine. I had my usual difficulty getting to sleep, but I think I got a few hours. Was pleased the ride & set up was all good to that point.
