Notes

I gave up going out with the a.m. group in favor of a little extra time subjecting myself to the cruel harassment (delivered lovingly of course) from one of my most cherished co-workers, Matthew. He was up to the task, and started in immediately. Between that, and Stu thinking something I said to him helped him, which actually, because of his reaction to it helped me probably even more, and then Chris, perceiving my heavy heart, but not saying anything, did all those unpleasant things that he knows I yearn for him to do -- that is how I made it through a day when I just felt so so bad. By the end of the day it looked nice out, and I had devised a run plan with super hills. I had to modify slightly because of rushing water, but it still turned out fine. I felt good, the weather was warm, but not muggy, the sun was out and I just needed to dig into the hills and sweat. SO, left from here & navigated the muddy, washed out, rocky area under Providence to President's Hill. Up the hill and around Hearnes Center - back down President's Hill. Up Paige Hill behind the Arena. Back down that hill. I was going to hit Campusview from there, but the water wouldn't allow it so navigated the mess again & went up Stoney Creek Hill. At Waffle House I crossed Providence (not easy in rush hour traffic), but Campusview was taunting me and I wanted it badly. Ran down Campusview, around the block and then back up. Crossed Providence again (ugh -- worst part of the whole run) and headed toward home. Stopped just short of home at 6.0 miles. I am thrilled with this route. Those hills are doozys and to put them all together is a lot of fun. This is also a route I would like to expand and that could be easily done. President's Hill, Paige Hill, Stoney Creek, and Campusview. I feel good about this run.
