Notes
Damn! Hills! and humidity. Put in a hard effort. First couple of miles flat and easy. Mile 3 water stop and Big Bertha (hill). Then, more hills. Some up some down. Last 3 miles 5k effort. Didn't look at my watch for the last 5 miles, just put in the effort. It's a PR and a big PR on this course.
68F to start up to 75F at end.
MTA: So fucking weird. And sad. I was startled and pleasantly surprised to see that the person handing me water at the first water stop was Chuck Rubin! How cool! Had no idea he was a runner in addition to being one of the most compassionate and friendly people and pediatric oncologists on this planet. Hard to believe he died less than a week after this. Sometimes life is not fair.
