Race didn't finish how I wanted it. What I mean is, the race itself I was pretty happy about because I felt great and KNOW that I could have ran much faster, however i'm upset that I didn't. Somewhere around those last 2-3 laps I just lost focus and fell off from where I should have been. I was 4:45 at the mile and then 9:39 at the 2-mile mark, and I was still on pace for the next lap but after that, I thought I was maintaining speed but I was actually slowing down quite a bit. This race made me realize that i'm still mentally in cross country mode, it seems that I feel like I have to "conserve" a little bit, when i really don't because its only 3 miles not 5. I'm pretty sure I've gotten that mindset out of the way now, and i'm ready to perform much better in the upcoming race.
