Notes
After three days off, I took the legs out for a quick spin around the neighborhood after lunch. I started at about 10:00 pace, just in case I wasn't recovered sufficiently from Saturday's race. Then I gradually went a little faster, until I was running about 7:15 pace around the mile mark. After going back to easy pace again, I slowly sped up again so that I was at about 7:00 pace by the end of mile 2. After another easy stretch, I topped out in the last mile at 6:45 pace before jogging it home.
Overall the legs feel pretty good, though I can tell that it will be a few days before I get my full strength back. The 75F heat affected me more than I would like, but at least nothing hurts today, and I'm hopeful that I can get back to full mileage next week.
