3 X 400m hill (11% grade) @8:00 pace. The first repeat was o.k. but by the third I was having trouble keeping form. My arm swing got a bit exaggerated, and my shoulder starting to ache a bit on the cool down. (That's a first.) A couple more weeks of this and maybe I'll be ready for the track.

Also, I started thinking about a half to do this Fall. Besides Hartford (Oct 15) there are two other local ones to consider: Milford (Sept 17) and Ridgefield (Oct 3). It might be a little hot in September, but the Milford course promises to be very flat. Ridgefield might be a little cooler but there are likely to be some hills. I suppose I can try two out of three if I start training in mid July.

Note to self: Use laps to isolate each hill repeat.
