Well, haven't been happy with a track race in almost a year. Part of me wishes we were still doing interval training instead of threshold stuff. I don't think I respond well to this type of training. Like it took me a year to respond to the last type of training and as soon as I adapt it get switches... So do I have to wait until next year to adapt? feel like the only improvement I've had (none over shorter distance) has been the result of doing higher mileage and not the workouts (as seen by my 3k time stagnating since early January). It's kinda upsetting knowing Im not as good as I was last year in the mile and shorter. Honestly, at the end of the season last year I probably could have run much faster than I have in the 3k this year thinking about it. My mileage has been down and I have little motivation because I'm not seeing the type of improvement I want. I've also improved my diet, I'm taking supplements, I don't drink alcohol or soda or juice only fat free milk and water, and I'm sleeping a ton compared to what I used to. I don't know what else I can do.
