Watch says I ran 3.85 miles at 7:25 pace. Felt pretty strong all race, but last 3/4 mile was really working not to get passed. Had some stomach issues, kind of crampy feeling. I ate a peanutbutter and jelly bagel about 90 minutes before race, and ate Cliffshot Turbo (choclate/cherry w/ caffine) 15 minutes before start. Felt hydration was good (coffee early, small sips of water, and maybe 1/3 gatorade), but was really thirsty on the trail. Beautiful day on the trail, 45 degrees, 36 w/ windchill, wore Salomon longsleeve T, shorts, gloves and hat. Ended up ditching gloves first and hat second. Race ended 2 miles away from start - so drank a bottle of water and then jogged back to car. First mile was paved - accounts for quicker time.
