rain started after i crossed under the tokkaido, fairly heavy on return, but ended once i got to the beach. a little worried about my iPod but it seems ok. supposed to get a full on typhoon tomorrow. very few people and didn't see birds. no surfers. waves blown out a bit but quite large still
