slight breeze from the north but still a sweaty run--high humidity. much cooler later, at the beach. typhoon out in the pacific generating a swell, lotsa surfers on this national holiday--first day of autumn. got an early start bc forecast said rain starting at 6--wrong. fed pigeons. they are getting too brave. one of them, crazy taro, nearly pecked a hole in my leg. he pecks at me until i feed him. i guess he has me trained pretty well. two-toe and hanako, eagle, john
