three days of walking. one scheduled, two because of heavy rain. got wet like a rat today. the light nike raincoat isn't much protection against rain. what i wanted to report is the state of the ocean. sublimely beautiful yesterday, limpid but with those beautiful green tones emerging. today no green, darker, but still clear and the waves were even bigger. seemed a bit misty yesterday--steam rising off because it was cold. today was warmer and winds were stronger. persistent off shores. surfers looked pretty happy
