very calm sea this morning. the pigeon with the fishing wire wrapped around his feet got closer today and ate out of my hand. thinking of bringing scissors tomorrow... probably freak him out and maybe too soon to try but i feel so sorry for him. herons at the usual places and flying--majestic birds. two egrets flying together high in the sky. don't recall seeing any cormorants. could see oshima but not fuji. cloudcover nice, but not supposed to last. possible a tiny shift in wind from the north. hope it stays calm today
