busy day out there today. big surf festival for the three day weekend, which includes the monday holiday day of the sea. great big waves too, so actually something to surf on this year. heron trying to catch a fish at the fountain and another a bit downriver. the duck family was there too. two babies no longer such babies, maybe juveniles. plenty hot and sweaty. actually cooler running because of the breeze you generate by being in motion. stop and sweat pours off. brought a thermos of ice water and stashed it at the liquor store pump house. glad to have it. spent a long time watching the waves and surfers. saw singing man, lots of runners and dog walkers.
