Notes
Bad news: my 18 mile long run turned into 21 with a wrong turn in some forest. Didn't even make it back, thumbed a ride with some nice hikers.
Good news: I felt strong throughout the whole run and efficiently/effectively spaced out my water (ran with 10oz handheld) and nutrition to sustain myself
Looking at the map now, I didn't even realize I had made a loop in the middle of my run. I got wow turned around... But it was gorgeous. maybe best trails I've been on it here to date. Put in a neg split (effort at least) in the second half. The grade adjusted pace on strava shows that a bit. Got quite a bit of elevation too. Once I realized I was going the wrong way (a little after 18.25 mi) I cooled the pace a bit, got some directions, and took a single track mtn bike trail to save some time.
