Notes
Let's see who reads Pat's log....
cooled down with Ruby Roberts, washington state track and xc alum. she was ripping some k's while i was doing my workout. then she cheered me on at the end and asked that we exchange contact information... so i could get in touch with her training group. but my speed goggles were on.

felt good getting back on the track. maybe i got a little bit ahead of myself for cruise intervals as far as pace goes, but it worked out in the end and i felt smooth on the freshly surfaced track (lanes weren't even painted yet).
even weirder, i got do this under the glow of the grape fruit pink sun as the wild fire smoke tinted the color of the sky and left little specs of ash on my car and shirt.
side note: i think the gps was having trouble picking up the turns of the track and would guess i was a little further than i thought i was (but then again, the track was unmarked).
also cooled down the last .75mi barefoot on turf.
